Happy 4th

We had our annual 4th of July breakfast. Our ward has been doing this for as long as I can remember. The High Priest cooked breakfast the Elders Quorum set up tables and chairs. This year we had it at Willow Creek Park. With having 3 wards in the building its a scheduling nightmare. We had a bounce house for the kids and of course the bike parade. Haylee is big enough to ride her tricycle in the parade. She thought it was cool. B&B and Bubba and Tessa went swimming. Bubba and Tessa came over and so did Patricia Bubb's mom. I had to go to work.. bummer but it really wasn't too bad. Normally on Fridays i get off at 1015 pm but because of the reduced flight schedule i got off at 6pm it was great. B&B and Rick and I watched the fireworks. We live outside of Fort Worth city limits so we can shoot off fireworks. SO we did an so did a bunch of others in the neighborhood. It was nice. The missionaries came over Elder Josey and Elder Pilling. They at dinner with us. We had steak and chicken and grilled corn on the cob... The dinner was great. I am grateful to live on this country. We are free to do many things. Thanks to fore ancestors and all those who sacrificed so much for us. We enjoy what they did so many years back.

We are patriots too...thanks for sharing your love of our great nation! The 4th is my absolute FAVORITE holiday! No shopping, figuring out costumes, no cruddy weather or making crafts...just hanging out with loved ones, enjoying good food, great weather and fabulous company! Nothing could be better.

P.S. As of right now, my little fam won't be able to squeeze the family reunion in...Bill's swamped through September. We're so sad. We want to see your fam sooooo badly. If something changes, we'll let you know. Love you all tonz!

I remember the ward breakfasts, although I probably wouldn't recognize a lot of the people that go to it now. Sounds like you had a fun time.

Happy Fourth of July! I'm glad your day turned out fun!
I'm sorry to hear that Brett and Brit are going to have to be apart for awhile, but mom assures me that they will still be together each weekend. That's good!
Daxton is currently in 3-6 month clothes, but he is fast approaching 6-9! He is a very big boy! He was my tallest baby at birth, 21" long as is currently about 24 1/2" long! Can you believe it!?! All my others, including Brielle(whose a pretty big girl) were only 19" and 20"! I have a feeling that my little Dax will be my little linebacker! :)!
Please send my love and best wishes to everyone! And if you feel a hankering, come on up to Colorado. Our family misses you guys so much! Love you!

I was sorry to miss it, it's one of my favorite activites of the year...not that I'm complaining about sitting on the beach though ;)
